Shapeshifter holds a 20 ct lab-created alexandrite inside a cage of hand-woven silver, dense and architectural at the top, open and weightless around the stone.
Alexandrite is the gem that answers to light: violet in warm light, with sparks of red, shifting toward blue-green in cool daylight. It reminds the wearer that changing is not inconsistency. It is her nature.
Woven entirely by hand from Argentium 935/940 silver, with silver beads placed asymmetrically like small planets in orbit.
Worn on a collar-style neckpiece, it sits like jewelry and reads like a sculpture.
